Career Fair and Interview Day provide networking opportunities

Posted on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

More than 123 companies and graduate programs were represented at the career fair held Monday, September 20, at the McLeod Center.  UNI students had an opportunity to be introduced to career and internship opportunities and graduate education at the first of two career fairs held this academic year.

According to Kristin Cahill, Career Services Employer Relations Coordinator, more than 1300 students participated in the career fair and 253 interviews were conducted with employers on Tuesday.  "Maintaining positive relationships with employers is necessary to keep UNI students at the top of their list for employment opportunities.  Our successful graduates are an ongoing testimonial promoting UNI and many of them return in the role of recruiter," said Cahill.

The Spring Career Fair will be Monday, February 21, 2011.

The Fall Career Fair was featured in an article in the Waterloo Courier, Tuesday, September 20
