The UNI Office of Career Services held the 36th annual UNI Overseas Recruiting Fair for Educators from February 1-5, 2012, at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. The UNI Overseas Fair has served nearly 25,000 educators since it began in 1976. This year, over 120 American international K-12 schools from 70+ countries attended the event, as well as 700 elementary and secondary educators. This was the largest number of people to ever attend this event.
International schools interview and hire educators during the event. Prior to the Fair, candidates complete an extensive registration process, and the UNI Overseas Fair team provides counseling and year-round services to both schools and educators.
"It is amazing to be a part of a program that has such a huge impact on quality teaching in classrooms around the globe," says Tracey Godon, director of the UNI Overseas Placement Service. "We look forward to another productive year, and planning for the 2013 event is already underway."
