Christopher Denison, Associate Director of Facilities & Operations, Wellness & Recreation Services, received the Horace Moody Award at the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) national meeting in Tampa, Florida. The Horace Moody Award is given to one NIRSA professional from each of the six NIRSA regions to recognize their contributions to student development. This national award is named after one of the founders of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association.
Denison was nominated by former WRS student employees who are now recreation professionals around the country. “I am truly honored and humbled by winning this award," he stated. "It was great to share the experience with so many of our alumni at the conference. Our profession is filled with great leaders and this award shows the commitment of UNI Wellness and Recreation Services to further develop our students.“
