Pathfinder staff members provide important leadership for incoming students in Jump Start Orientation

The UNI Jump Start Orientation Program is in its 13th year of providing new students from ethnically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds with a "jump start" on their first year at the university. Jump Start is an extended orientation program that provides students with an opportunity to make a smooth transition to the University.

Division Technology Committee re-formed

The Student Affairs Division Technology Committee will reconvene to advise the Vice President for Student Affairs on matters pertaining to the use of technology in the division.  The committee will routinely consider the technology needs of each department and of the division as a whole, and recommend ways departments and their staff can work collaboratively to meet those needs.

UNI strengthens ties to Brazil

Terry Hogan and Fred Silva, recent graduate, represented UNI in a meeting with the Brazilian Ambassador to the United States, Mauro Vieira. The ambassador visited Iowa to explore potential partnership with Iowa Regents’ Institutions on Wednesday, May 18 in Des Moines. The meeting was hosted by the Board of Regents’ President, David Miles and Executive Director Bob Donley.
